Garage door types we install
Different openings suit different doors. Headroom above the opening, side room beside it, the depth of the garage and how the door is used all narrow the sensible choices before style comes into it.
Sectional / panel doors
Horizontal panels that lift and run back along tracks under the ceiling. They suit most modern double garages and give you the full drive-through height.
Roller doors
A single curtain that rolls into a drum above the opening. Minimal headroom is needed and nothing intrudes into the garage ceiling space.
Tilt doors
A single rigid panel that tilts up and out. Often found on older Brisbane homes and still the practical answer for some openings.
Custom and non-standard openings
Wide, low, tall or awkward openings measured individually rather than fitted to a stock size.
How an installation runs
- Free on-site measure — the opening, headroom, side room, power and any obstructions are checked in person.
- Written quote covering the door, the motor if you want one, and the installation.
- Order and manufacture to the measured size.
- Installation by our own team, including removal and disposal of the old door where needed.
- Motor fitted, travel and force set, remotes paired, and the door demonstrated before we leave.
Colours, styles and finishes
Sectional and roller doors come in a wide range of standard colours, and panel profiles change the look considerably — flat, ribbed and timber-look styles read very differently from the street.
It is worth deciding whether the door should blend with the roof, the render or the window frames before choosing a colour. We can bring options to the measure so you are comparing them against the actual house rather than a screen.
Automation fitted at the same time
Fitting the motor during installation is cheaper and tidier than adding it later, and it means the door and the opener are commissioned together.
If you already have a motor in good condition, we will tell you whether it suits the new door rather than replacing it for the sake of it.
Residential, commercial and light industrial
The same team installs doors on houses, units, strata car parks, workshops and small commercial sites. Where a door will cycle many times a day, we size the door and motor for that duty instead of fitting a domestic setup that will wear out early.
